In short

• No account. EasyRubic does not ask for your name, email or phone number.
• Photos of your cube taken in the app are processed on your device and are not sent anywhere.
• EasyRubic does not sell data and does not share data with advertisers.

Website

When you open a page, the server that hosts the website receives the technical details every browser sends, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. They are used to run and protect the website.

• Post views: when you open a blog post, the website adds one to that post’s counter, which orders the "Most read" row. The counter is a number and is not linked to you. Your browser remembers for the session that you opened the post, so it is not counted twice; this is gone when you close the tab.
• The website sets no cookie to identify you.

Traffic measurement

The website uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to learn which pages are viewed, which videos are opened and which links are clicked. Google may set cookies and process your IP address under its own policy. Storage for advertising is off by default.

Third-party content

Some content is loaded straight from where it is hosted. That host then receives your IP address, as with any website you visit.

• Pictures in posts are loaded from Wikimedia Commons.
• Video preview pictures are loaded from YouTube.
• The video player is loaded only after you click a video, and uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
• Links to other sites are covered by those sites’ own policies.

The EasyRubic app

• Camera: the app asks for camera access to photograph the faces of your cube and read their colours. Photos are processed on your device, are not sent to a server and are not saved to your photo library.
• Your solve history and preferences are stored on your device. They are removed when you delete the app or clear its data.
• The app has no analytics, no advertising and does not track you across other apps.

Children

EasyRubic suits all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. With no account and no forms, EasyRubic holds no data that identifies a particular user.

Your rights

You may ask what data EasyRubic holds about you and ask for it to be deleted. Data on your device is under your control: clear the site data in your browser or delete the app.

Changes

When the website or the app starts handling data in a new way, this page is updated first and the date at the top changes.
