What the website stores in your browser

• Your cookie choice (accept or decline) is kept in the browser’s local storage so you are not asked again. This is essential storage and does not identify you.
• When you open a blog post, your browser remembers for the session that you read it, so the view is not counted twice. This is gone when you close the tab.
• If you accept, Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) sets cookies to count page views, video opens and link clicks. They last at most 2 years. Storage for advertising is always off.

Declining or changing your mind

Clicking "Decline" in the notice is enough: no measurement cookie is set. To change your choice, clear the site data for easyrubic in your browser and the notice returns. You can also block third-party cookies in your browser settings; the website keeps working in full.

Security

• Every connection to the website uses HTTPS. The website is served through Cloudflare, with denial-of-service protection and filtering of malicious traffic.
• There are no accounts, passwords or forms, so there are no login details to leak.
• Blog content is read from the Sanity content system over a read-only connection. The write key (used for the view counter) lives only on the server and is never sent to the browser.
• The app processes photos of your cube on your device and has no server of its own that could receive data.
• YouTube videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and load only after you click.

Reporting a security issue

If you find a vulnerability on the website or in the app, send a description to the address below. EasyRubic replies within 7 days and does not take action against good-faith reporters.
